Tipler Sponsors the Casa Auxiliadora Project Promoting Art and Social Inclusion
Using art as a tool for social inclusion and citizenship is a practice that has given good results in the search for a better society. That is why Tipler is supporting Casa Auxiliadora, an entity that maintains an instrumental music group with children and adolescents in situations of social vulnerability in the District of Scharlau, in São Leopoldo / RS, the same neighborhood where Tipler maintains its headquarters.
The Casa Auxiliadora is a project of the Associação Beneficiente Nossa Senhora Auxiliadora. From the funds raised, the project maintains the Auxiliadora Musical Band. In addition to the directly benefited participants, the project still brings quality music to different locations, impacting even more people. "The Casa Auxiliadora has used music as an instrument of social inclusion. It's a very important job and Tipler is proud to be a
part of it," emphasises Fabiano Fratta, Commercial Manager of Tipler.
Currently, the group has about 30 members, among children, adolescents and volunteers of Casa Auxiliadora, aged between 7 and 35 years. Conducted by maestro Lucheu Igor, its members have classes in music theory, instrument practice and general rehearsals.

New Michelin Truck Center in Rio Cuarto
Renovadora Figueiredo is a Model of Sustainability with Solar Energy
Michelin has expanded its network in Argentina with the opening of a new Truck Centre with Rivarosa in Río Cuarto, Córdoba. The new centre offers truck drivers everything necessary for the correct operation of their tyres.
The Truck Centre is located near Rotonda Castelli and has a property of 661 square meters. The staff provide advice both for the purchase of products and for
making fine adjustments.
It is a space for heavy vehicles that offers the services of Michelin Retreading, repairs and alignment. In addition, it has the entire line of tyres for this segment available for “on time”
delivery.
In this way, Rivarosa continues to consolidate its presence in the area. It was the first to incorporate the latest technology in tyre rebuilding, at the end of 2011, at its plant located in Morteros, Córdoba. With this opening, Michelin adds to a total of 29 Truck Centers in Argentina and more than 50 points of sale of truck tyres.
Concern for the environment is an integral part of the activity of tyre retreading. Although tyre reuse is one of the most consolidated sectors associated with the "green industry" in Brazil, other sustainable economic activities have been increasingly common and very efficient, such as the use of solar energy.
Renovadora Figueiredo, a Tipler Network Concessionaire located in Luis Eduardo Magalhães / BA, has allied tyre retreading with the use of solar energy. In partnership with Enersol, a company specialising in sustainable energy, Figueiredo has installed 400 solar panels in order to supply the demand for electricity generation. The result has been excellent, guaranteeing energy independence and cost reduction for the company. Hélio Figueiredo, owner of Renovadora Figueiredo
comments: "This idea has both ecological and economic fundamentals. Sustainability comes from energy sources, which are 100 per cent clean and renewable. The investment is worth it and pays for itself, " he says.
With this decision, Renovadora Figueiredo became the first company in the tyre retreading sector to operate with 100 per cent energy independence, making it a reference in all of Brazil in terms of sustainability. "The constant concern for the environment is always well regarded by society. For a retreader, that by its own business already shows great care for the environment, to reinforce this positioning by using solar energy is something really different. This investment will give us greater market competitiveness,” added Figueiredo.
Toca do Pneus Grows 20% with Tipler
Toca do Pneus began its activities in the retreading business in 1998, and since then it has sought to be recognised as a reference in the supply of retreaded tyres for fleets in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and the surrounding region. The company has grown rapidly and profitably, and in just over a year as a
member of the Tipler Network, it is already celebrating a 20 per cent increase in the monthly volume of retreads produced at the company’s factory.
"With Tipler at our side, a strong brand recognised by all in the transportation segment, we have become more competitive in
compared to our competitors," said Gustavo Peixoto, owner of Toca do Pneus. “The carriers and fleets of Minas Gerais want quality, safety and agility and we can meet these requirements by working with Tipler,” he added.
