For the first time in the history of the Mexican National
Association of Dealers and renewing plants (ANDELLAC) a woman has been elected to chair the organisation during the period from 2016 to 2018, succeeding Raúl Castillo, current leader of the group.
At the 42 Expo Congress ANDELLAC, Elizabeth Ventura, a graduate in business administration, was chosen by the Council of ANDELLAC by a unanimous decision, as president of the agency.
"It's a challenge being a woman in a man's world. There are

increasingly more companies led by women and having a woman at the face of ANDELLAC is not a gender issue. I believe in the project. Raul has given a drive to the change,” said Ventura at a news conference after her appointment. "Raul has focused on changing a tyre to a service centre. We need to refresh our business. It has been a very important point. I'm thinking that we need more focus on people and training." Ventura has over 30 years’ experience in the tyre business and has been the head of an operation that imports Continental tyres, and
which has recently moved into retreading. Ventura has a rounded experience of the industry and knows what is needed to drive ANDELLAC forwards. Foremost is developing
legislation that will regulate the import of low quality tyres and find a proper outcome for end of life tyres.

  Years with Tipler
Recap Pneus, a Tipler concessionaire in Chapecó, Santa Catarina, highlights the profitability of using quality branded products. For more than two decades Recap Pneus has offered a high quality product that is designed to meet customer needs and drive the company to profitability. 21 years ago the retreader signed up as a Tipler dealer and has never looked back.
Offering high standard service, the growth of Recap is claimed to be proof of the profitability that Tipler products offer. With monthly growth in the volume of retread tyres, the company is increasing its market share and is now recognised by transporters in western Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul and carriers in the Northwest.
The excellent service offered combined with the Tipler products has also generated the physical growth of Recap. Its premises, recently expanded, now occupy an area of 13,000 m2, with a wide range of services designed for carriers and fleets, with modern high-performance equipment, one of the advantages that attracts more customers. "Product quality is exceptional. The mileage is noticed by our customers and this solidifies the relationship and loyalty between supplier and customer, "says Director of Recap, Cleimar Spessatto.
The choice of Tipler as a supplier since the foundation of the company was the result of an analysis of the quality of products and services offered by the brand to the market. "Tipler always demonstrated that it is the best brand to work with. Over the years the products, tools and support of technical and commercial teams have evolved, following the market demands, "adds Spessatto. Positive results have boosted Recap to continue growing. The company projects a 20 per cent increase for next year on the volume of tyres currently produced.
