uncovered some irregularities and actions are currently being taken against Mayor Herthel.
The Special Investigation Commission found possible irregularities in the purchase of tyres for loaders by the Municipality of Rebouças, the document was made available to local people and if they thought that there were irregularities then they could make a complaint. Shortly after publicising the report, two individuals lodged a complaint against Herthel.
It appears that the city had purchased 20 new tyres 17.5 x 25 at a unit value of R $ 2,502.00 to R $ 50,040.00, plus 12 retreaded tyres of the same type at a unit value of R $
807.52 to R $ 9,690.24.
These tyres are for use in a machine loader operation. The fact was, that at the time of purchase and up to the point of the complaint, only one loader was in operation, with the other machines out of service. Even if all four shovel loaders machines were in operation, 16 new tyres would be enough to equip all the machines, leaving four new tyres and 12 retread unaccounted for. Furthermore, an audit found that despite the funds having been exchanged earlier in the year, not all of the tyres had been delivered.
The case is ongoing but things are not looking good for the City Council or Mayor Herthel.
Recently, AJP Tires, a Tipler Dealer in Rio de Janeiro, joined the Tipler Network and has had its premises
rebranded with the Tipler Network logo and branding.
To become authorised Tipler dealers, retreaders have to adopt a standardised approach to retreading
and accept full Tipler branding. The Tipler branding boosts customer confidence as it is recognised as a leading player in retreading with the highest level of training and support. In addition to the brand strength, the concessionaires of the Tipler Network gain other advantages, such as technical and commercial support with a large mix of precured treads with optimised weight and cut to the ideal length through Tipler’s “ready to apply” technology.
In addition, the company’s “Freedom Policy” allows dealers of the Tipler Network to remain real owners of their businesses without interference from their supplier of raw materials.
