RECAUFAIR
Lukatec Equipment: A Growing Company
In its participation in Recaufair 2012, Lukatec consolidated its position as one of the leading Brazilian providers of technology for retreading machines.
At the fair there was a focus on the tyre builder RL-1250S, a unique system for applying treads with wings; and the Auto Tyres RS-1250 buffer. This was the fourth company participation at the
event and certainly the most successful. The stand was a marked development of previous versions and the presence of the company was highlighted by the corporate display.
Lukatec is a Brazilian company from Sao Leopoldo in the state of
Rio Grande do Sul and specialises in developing technology in manufacturing machinery for the tyre retreading industry. Its project department brings together the expertise of the retreading market and engineering, allowing the development of equipment in accordance with the demands of their customers. The development of new solutions is complete, including mechanical design, electrical design, pneumatics, hydraulics, and the development of specific software for various applications in the transport sector.
The corporate goal is to develop intelligent solutions, enabling the
automation and standardisation of processes. Lukatec machines are known for combining high technology and strength. Lukatec Director Mr. Lucas Moller says, “For the next few
months the company is preparing a series of releases in commemoration of our 10 years. Wait and you will see what we have to offer.”

50 Retreading Business
Rank was founded 45 years ago in Apucarana in the state of Paraná and has since worked with products for tyre retreading. A wholly family operated company, it originally aimed to provide initial products only for some small local retreaders but with the growth of the Brazilian market in recent years the company had to take a marketing decision to invest gradually in its growth and expansion. Then it started to participate in small fairs around Brazil and now for the second time participated at a national event such as Pneushow-Recaufair.
"The costs for participation in
national events is quite heavy for us. However, Rank decided to enter the fray of the domestic market and this fair is an important step towards the development of new business," says Mr. Guilherme Rank.
The company brought to the show a complete line of precured treads, cushion gum, camelback rubber and cement.
