     Vipal Gives Tips for Agriculture
Agribusinesses can also benefit from tyre retreading and Vipal remains totally focused on serving the needs of the segment.
Tyre retreading is winning more fans in all sectors of the economy, and the farming sector is no different. Vipal Rubber, which has a specific line for the agribusiness sector, has continuously invested in increasing capacity to meet this sector, and product development continues to ensure more productivity to the farmer. According to the manager of Vipal Rubber Technology, Caio Chiomento, the agribusiness clients have different characteristics, requiring a high level of expertise in tyre retreading. "Vipal has the background to understand these needs, and thus was able to organise a structure devoted entirely to service this segment," he explains.
Chiomento refers to the Agribusiness Project, implemented by Vipal in order
to strengthen the company's partnerships in the market. The work included a survey of more than 500 industry professionals in 13 Brazilian states. "From this project, we formed a group of retreaders and are able to offer specialised services for the high- level technical retreading of agricultural tyres," he says.
Wear different, same care
According to Caio, agricultural tyres suffer a different type of tyre wear than those used in other vehicles. "Unlike car tyres, trucks and buses, agricultural equipment runs at low speeds and with great effort. It also varies according to the power, weight and size of the implements, soil characteristics, relief, culture (such as soy, rice, sugar) and agriculture (if you have stumps, rocks, etc.)." he adds.
Despite these differences, the agricultural tyre needs basic care just as any other type of tyre does, but adapted to the reality
of field use. "The proper calibration and use of the appropriate model for each sector or activity are very important factors for the durability of all types of tyre, including farm tyres."
As for retreading, Caio assures that there are no restrictions, provided they are retreaded with quality materials and by a qualified retreader. "So long as
the integrity of the casing is intact the agricultural tyre can be retreaded. This gives a cost benefit and also contributes to the preservation of the environment, mainly because it delays the disposal of the tyre, " he concludes.
