BEST COMPANY DIRECTOR EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR Fabricio Nedeff was a worthy winner of the Employee of the Year Award LEPPERT AND NEDEFF WIN FOLLOWING HUGE ENGAGEMENT IN INDIVIDUAL AWARDS Matthias Leppert receives his award from Retreading Business Publisher, David Wilson One of the biggest successes of the Recircle Awards has been the degree to which voter engagement has increased in the individual award categories with company employees voting in large numbers in support of their colleagues. As a result the Best Company Di- rector and Employee of the Year Awards have become two of the most hotly contested ca- tegories. This was certainly true in the Best Company Director category, which recognises excep- tional performance by a company director within the tyre retreading and/or tyre recy- cling industries and where the winner , Mat- thias Leppert triumphed by a single vote over second placed Thomas Sorensson from Scan- dinavian Enviro Systems. Leppert, who is the COO of the Marangoni Group (and Managing Director of Marango- ni Retreading Systems Deutschland GmbH), was nominated for his role in increasing the success of Marangoni in the retreading sector as well as in the OTR sector. The Employee of the Year Category, meanwhile, has become an award, which we consider of particular value because it recog- nises exceptional contributions by individuals who provide particularly vital contributions to further the cause of their companies and the industry they work in. This year’s winner was Fabricio Nedeff, the Commercial Manager for Vipal in Europe, whose colleagues came out to vote in parti- cularly large numbers. During his career, Ne- deff has made an important contribution to Vipal’s position in the tyre retreading market in different parts of the world, including the United States, Mexico, Middle East, Africa and Europe, being present during his com- pany’s growth process in those regions. He had been nominated for his professionalism, dedication and commitment to his company, his customers and to the retreading sector in general, including his support for trade asso- ciations around the world. Commiserations to Ankita Saikia from Tyromer, who came second in this category for the second time in three years. P.X
