MARK RUBBER LAUNCHES PREMIUM TREAD COMPOUND ‘MAGNUS’
Kerala based Mark Rubber Products have announced the intro- duction of a new premium precured tread rubber range under the brand name ‘Magnus’. The new product is scheduled to hit the market in July and is expected to offer high mileage and perfor- mance.
“This next-generation product has been designed to deliver ex- ceptional results, durability, and longevity, maximising tyre life by up to 100,000 km under standard test conditions,” claimed Shafi Ahamed, Managing Director, Mark Rubber Products.
The tread rubber producer says Magnus has been created with advanced materials and technology, guaranteeing optimal wear resistance and outstanding traction. The unique compound struc- ture also allows for efficient heat dissipation and low rolling re- sistance.
“Magnus with high mileage and performance is a perfect solution for radial tyre retreading for commercial vehicles, including long- haul trucks, buses, and trailers,” he added. “For end users, the ad- ditional cost impact would be around INR 500 per belt weighing 12kg.”
The product is currently being targeted at corporate fleets to offer a practical, eco-friendly, and value-for-money solution, although Magnus will eventually also be introduced in the retail market.
Mark Rubber Products, based in Kochi, currently has the capacity to produce 1,500 tons tread rubber annually both for cold and hot retreading processes.
