INDUSTRY ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

US-based companies Eco Green Equipment and TireCore International both achieved victories in this year’s Recircle Awards, winning their particular categories for the second year running, Eco Green Equipment were successful in the Best Tyre Recycling Industry Supplier Sector, whilst Califor- nia-based casing dealer Tire Core Inter- national beat off strong competition from Europe to gain a repeat triumph as Best Casing and Tyre Disposal Services Provider.
Eco Green owners Brad Swenson and Jona- than Porter were both present at Autopro- motec to collect their award and were keen to emphasise how the Utah-based com- pany’s success in the awards had helped to company increase its profile on a global level.
Meanwhile, Garry Drisdelle, the owner of TireCore international Ltd was not able to attend the show to pick up his award in per- son, but he was keen to emphasise the role played by the company’s employees, ven- dors and suppliers in helping the company achieve its success in the Recircle Awards.
A third company who picked up an award for the second year running was the Malay- sian retreader Kayel Retread. Lat year, the Kuala Lumpur-based company took home the Spirit of Retreading Award. However, this year the company emerged victorious in the Industry Achievement Award whe- re it had been nominated due to its achie- vement in becoming the first South-East Asian retreader to achieve ECE 109 certifi- cation for its truck tyre retreads.
David Wilson, Publisher of Retreading Bu- siness & Tyre & Rubber Recycling commen- ted on the three companies‘ achievements: “We have been delighted at the degree of engagement we have received from su- ppliers around the globe in the Recircle Awards. Eco Green, Kayel and TireCore are three examples of companies who un- derstood from the start what was required in order to be successful in the Recircle Awards and managed to mobilise support from their wider support networks. All three companies are highly respected in their specific segments and they thorou- ghly deserve their success.”
