Rodomix Inaugurates Branch and Strengthens Tipler Presence in Bahia
The Tipler Network of concessionaires has won a new and important partner. Rodomix, a Tipler dealer since 2014, has recently inaugurated a new unit in the city of Santo Antônio de Jesus, in the state of Bahia in Brazil. With this new unit, Rodomix now covers the whole of a strategic region and is able to bring its retreading services to an even larger audience. Tipler now has six units in Bahia. Marcelo Moraes, Manager of Rodomix at the Santo Antônio de Jesus unit, commented that Tipler differentials, such as the PPA
(Ready to Apply) treads and treads supplied to the exact measurement of the casing, have facilitated the routine of the retreader's operation, and with that, have helped the company achieve growth.

The Sao Bernardo plant has a mixed clientele covering bus fleets, waste disposal companies and the commercial truck sector, whereas the smaller Araraquara facility largely services local agricultural businesses.
The company has been a Marangoni dealer for 10 years, using both Ringtread and Unitread, but two years ago the company also added Pirelli’s Novateck system to its portfolio, and now manufactures Marangoni
its clients. In total the company is investing 1.5 million Reais in new equipment for the plant and in tyre servicing equipment.
This, of course, means that the SL Group will have plenty of capacity to fill, but Cardoso points out that the Brazilian retread market is changing very quickly, offering significant opportunities to companies like his.

Sorocap Invests in Equipment and Consolidates Customer Base

Brazil-based Bandag dealer Sorocap has announced that it has invested in a brand new Rasparobo twin buffer from Lukatec for its main factory in Sorocaba. The new machine, which according to Technical Director Alexandre Pascoli Moreira, was installed four months ago, is equipped with a safety cage in line with the latest Brazilian Health & Safety Regulations.
Sorocap, whose head office is in Sorocaba, was founded in 1978 and over the years has expanded its retreading business with truck and car service centres. The company now has two retread plants, one in Sorocaba producing 2,000 retreads per month and one in Registro, which is somewhat smaller at 1,000 retreads per month. There are truck service centres in both locations plus car tyre and service centres in Votorantim and Registro.
