NSA Pneutec Expands by Acquisition
Two years ago, Retreading Business visited Vipal retreader NSA Pneutec based in Santana do Pernaiba near Sao Paulo and found an ambitious company looking to achieve rapid expansion. At the time the company was operating from two plants at Santana do Pernaiba and Guarulhos

More recently, in 2018, the company also acquired Barueri-based Tipler franchisee Pneu Cargo, which manufactures a further 2,000 retreads per month. This company remains under the management of Mauricio Mori and remains within the Tipler network. The acquisition, however, brings total production within the group to almost 10,000 units per month.
NSA Pneutec’s main plant in Santana do Pernaiba now employs 40 people and has an installed capacity of 10,000 tyres per month. The company approaches the market with two separate product lines. The company’s premium range, which uses 4G technology uses state-of-the- art equipment from Matteuzzi and VMI, is aimed at the premium sector of the market, whilst a second line offers a more price-competitive mid- range option.

Jimenez Sanches participated in the company’s Retread Managers Training programme at the Univipal Training Centre at Vipal’s headquarters in Nova Prata, accompanied by the Vipal Rubber Europe Commercial Coordinator, Fabricio Nedeff.
Rodriguez commented; "It was very helpful to see how they work at Vipal Rubber, to share experiences with other retreaders and to see Vipal's facilities. The training was very complete and will help us to apply new techniques within our factor y and understand how we should do the work with the fleets," he said. The owner of Recauchutados Muralla also stated that he considers "this type of meeting, outside their comfort zone, ver y useful for recycling ideas and methods. We will know to live up to
our market."
Recauchutados Muralla, Vipal's customer for over 20 years, owns the RubberVulk brand, a line of patches, rubber tools, valves, wheel weights, and other accessories. The company also exclusively distributes Vipal Rubber brand's repair line in Spain and Portugal.
In addition to the Spanish company managers, representatives of Vipal customers from five Latin American countries participated in the training: ASR (Puerto Rico), Bandtek (Colombia), Ecuaneumáticos (Ecuador), Grupo Salta (Argentina), Recauchajes Recauflex (Chile), and Triggs (Chile).
Rodomix, Tipler’s concessionaire in Feira de Santana / BA, Brazil, which has recently inaugurated a new unit in Santo Antônio de Jesus, recently brought some of its fleet customers to the Tipler factory to learn the story behind the Tipler brand and to view the manufacturing process at first hand.
Mr. Eduardo Eduardo, Mr. Roberto Waxman, Mr. Laercio Ferreira, Mr. Rodrigo Martins, Mr. Wellington Martins, Mr. Carlos Antonio and Mrs. Patricia Zanotelli, were received by Tipler's Commercial Manager, Rodrigo Farina.
