              Tyrexpo India 2018

indicates the tread maker is now bullish about the Indian retread market and keen on expanding its operations.
On the equipment side, Coimbatore based Glisten is a regular exhibitor at the Tyrexpo series.
The show was well represented from the tyre repair and servicing industry with Myers exhibiting for the first time, whilst Unipatch, as usual, is a regular exhibitor at the show. Tamil Nadu based Best Patch also exhibited for the first time at the Delhi edition of the tyre show. India’s major tyre producer BKT has also exhibited at the Tyrexpo series
right from the first show but organisers have now also drawn in Pirelli. Milan headquartered Pirelli is keen on expanding its presence in India and showcased its range for the first time at the Tyrexpo.
Pirelli expects demand for high performance tyres to grow in the country with road connectivity getting better and people moving to bigger cars. It plans to open 20 tyre centres in India by the end of 2018 to increase product visibility, with three already opened.

  The sixth edition of Tyrexpo India, part of the international Tyrexpo Series, took place on the 21st- 23rd June at Pragati Maidan, Hall No. 12A, New Delhi, alongside its co- located shows GarageXpo India 2018 and RubberTech India 2018.
The show has
expanded as the
organisers forged an alliance with RubberTech at the last Delhi edition to bring more exhibitors from China.
It was the first time ever that the show had been organised by the SingEx Exhibitions India, a subsidiary of SingEx Holdings. All previous editions were organised by the parent group.
The show seemed to have matured and there were more exhibitors at the exhibition than before.
Around 100 companies including those from peripheral businesses such as tyre equipment and tools for manufacturing, tyre distribution,
tyre retreading and fleet operations exhibited at Tyrexpo India 2018. On the retread industry side, Indian tread and equipment manufacturer Elgi Rubber Company Limited showcased its product range at the show. But this time the Elgi seems to have scaled down its participation with a smaller stand with no live demonstration of its machinery.
One of the new entrants at the show was Delhi headquartered Indag Rubber, the erstwhile Indian partner of Bandag. The company showcased its tread rubber range and invited a lot of its clients to the show. The participation of Indag
