are wonderful opportunities to discuss future business with EIB’s customers and also hopefully attract the interest of new companies to form future business partnerships.
He said, “We are able to talk to a lot of people within the space of a few days all under one roof, which is priceless in terms of business promotion. EIB was showcasing its full range of products and services including a number of new tread patterns which took centre-stage on the

between them. There are also various different segments, for example tractor tyre retreading, which is in high demand in the rural areas of the countr y,” Varughese said.

The Indian retreading market is recovering today, as the Chinese tyres that at some time were meeting up to 20 to 25 per cent
of the demand at the domestic tyre market disappeared after the anti-dumping duties have been introduced.

All the changes of the past few years in theory must be beneficial for the retreading industry, as well as the rubber tread suppliers. However, it is yet to be seen what will actually happen, according to Varughese.
