 Preview: The Tire Cologne
The Tire Cologne, the new trade fair for tyres and wheels opens its doors from 29 May to 1 June in Cologne, Germany. The show has been presented from the start as an effective replacement for the long- standing Essen show and has achieved success thanks to support from the German trade association BRV.
The organisers, Koelnmesse, have made it clear that they wanted the show to become the “go-to” event for the global retreading industry and consequently allocated a dedicated exhibition hall - Hall 9 for retreading and recycling. As far as Retreading Business is concerned we are very excited, because along with or sister magazine, Tyre & Rubber Recycling, we will be managing the Tyre Recycling Forum exhibition area, which will cover 282 square metres of exhibition space, which will play host to a series of seminars running through the show, as well as a
comprehensive display of the entire tyre recycling chain including many products manufactured from recycled tyres.
Hall 9 is the dedicated Hall for tyre retreading and recycling and there you will find a comprehensive array of suppliers from the global retreading industry. At the time of writing, exhibitors already confirmed as attend include Akar Makina, B&J Rocket, Carl Zeiss, Cima, Dikabo, Dobermann, Eastern Treads, EIB, Elgi, Eversafe, Galgo, HB Plus Bandamatic, Italmatic, ITG, Just Easy, Kargro, Kraiburg, Kurz, Lukatec, MIG, Marigo, Matteuzzi, Maxrubber, Midas, Oliver Carbide, REkor, Rema Tip Top, Salvadori, SDS, Seri Plastica, Tech, TRM, Vipal and VMI.
There are a number of events happening alongside the show itself including the Global Retreading Conference organised by BIPAVER and the Future Tire Conference. The Global Retreading Conference
