    TYREXPO AFRICA
Business Strategist regarding a long-term projection for ATT. In the past three years we have emerged stronger by investing in a series of new and improved equipment and machinery.”
At the Marangoni Ringtread launch in association with Leader Tread, it was immediately pointed out that the Ringtread system is not only of the same high standard of the product produced by Marangoni in Italy but could possibly be even better due to being produced for the African climate and its conditions.
It was also pointed out to the customers as a matter of importance that the Ringtread retreading system is the only spliceless pre-cured tread system of its kind offering production benefits over the traditional flat tread method and operational benefits such as reduced heat build and minimum stress on the casing and tread.
At the same time, ATT showcased their recently
introduced powder coating facility, which services the industry with the refurbishment of truck and OTR rims. The process involves applying a dry powder electrostatically and is cured in an oven. The result of this process is a harder finish that is tougher than conventional paint and there is the added benefit of the process time being reduced by more than fifty per cent.
Styger says, “The powder coating system has been well received by a significant amount of our customers and as for the obvious price reduction benefit of Ringtread being produced locally, we are confident that our customers will switch over to this impressive form of retreading.” At ATT it is very clear that time ‘never stands still’ and a constant growth momentum is always in progress to compliment the company’s working statement – Quality in everything we do which is non-negotiable!
