     TREADS
Conti Hybrid Tyres Available as Hot Retreads
Vipal Launches New VT220 Tread for Severe Snow Conditions
“Hot-retreaded tyres make an important contribution in keeping fleet operating costs to a minimum,” says Ralf Benack, retreading director for truck tyres.
“We are constantly expanding our range of hot-retreaded tyres,
and the Conti Hybrid line is extremely important, thanks to its broad range of applications,” he continues.
“Hot-retreaded ContiRe Hybrid tyres retain all the best features of new tyres, proving an economic and sustainable
choice.”
Benack says ContiRe Hybrid HD3 retreads use the same rubber compounds as new tyres on both tread and sidewall.
They also retain key features, including low weight, optimised rolling resistance and high ride comfort, he adds.
Vipal has
announced the
launch of a new
tread for the
European market.
The VT220 pattern
has been designed
to roll on muddy or
snowy roads.
Recommended for
medium and long
distance journeys
on radial tyres,
VT220 brings a
special and high
technology
compound,
perfectly suitable to
support low temperatures. The tread, in fact, was already born with Alpine Symbol certification, which verifies its effectiveness under severe snow conditions. The VT220 pattern features a series of transverse grooves, that add to the stability of the blocks,
which, for their part, have an excellent traction capacity. Similarly, the deep grooves provide the blocks with better movement, allowing the tread to perform a self-cleaning function, and improve adherence on snowy and muddy surfaces.
   Conti Hybrid drive-axle tyres are now also available as hot-retreaded ContiRe Hybrid HD3s in sizes 295/80 R 22.5, 315/70 R 22.5 and 315/80 R 22.5.
Dobermann to Present Extension of Range for European Market

in medium- and
long-service
applications, and in
mixed on-off road
applications; one “all-

Galgo has expanded the range of its Urban Pre-Q product line with the new Metropolitan Bus (MB) tread design. This tread comes in a width of 9 4/8” (240 mm) and a depth of 19/32” (15 mm).
The MB tread is one of the best options for tyre retreading in urban applications because its wide rim rib design provides
extensive road contact. This feature delivers greater stability, increased safety, and improved mileage. In addition, the MB tread is ideal for passenger transportation and offers outstanding functionality and mileage for articulated buses operating in urban applications.
