There is a notable change in outlook among Indian retreading equipment makers, who are becoming increasingly keen on exploring beyond borders and achieving pan-India expansion. Interestingly, these equipment manufacturers are not based in the big metropolitan towns but in the interiors of the country.
Luxmi Enterprises India says it is interested in expanding in the Central, Western and Eastern part of the country as well as globally in the African market. “We are working on setting-up a sales and service network in various parts of the country including Guwahati (Assam, Eastern India), Raipur (Chattisgarh, Central India) and Pune (Maharashtra, Western India),” said Amit Kumar of Luxmi Enterprises India at
Tyrexpo India recently.
Based at Jind District in the North Indian state of Haryana, the retread plant manufacturer was participating at the 3-day show in New Delhi. The company has modified its automatic electronic tyre chamber to reduce production time and labour cost.
The company is also keen on expanding in the international market, particularly in the countries of Nepal, Kenya and Nigeria. “We have been in business for the last 15 years and have supplied plants to Nepal, Kenya and Tanzania, and now we are working on appointing agents in these markets,” he said.
