Tread Maker Shifts Focus to New Tyre Business

With volumes and margins coming down in the tread rubber and retreading business, some producers are looking for newer ideas in new segments that help sustain their existing operations. “We entered into precure tread manufacturing in 2001 but it has become difficult to survive solely in tread rubber business these days.
