GRL Tread Design
Galgo has announced the expansion of its regional application product line, with the new Galgo Rounded Shoulder Light (GRL) tread design. The GRL design offers high traction and low rolling resistance, as well as providing a large contact area and rock ejectors for improved casing protection. It is available in widths of 220 mm (8 5/8”) and 230 mm (9”), and a depth of 12 mm (15/32”).
“Gus” Hawkinson - Obituary
On the 10th July 2016, “Gus” Hawkinson died after suffering from a stroke at the beginning of the month. "Raymond Paul Hawkinson, Jr. “Gus”, passed away in Las Vegas. He was born April 6, 1945 in Ogden, Utah, and grew up in Minneapolis, MN. He graduated from Edina High School and attended Mankato State University. Mr. Hawkinson grew up in the tyre industry and was President and CEO of the Paul E. Hawkinson Company, a family business manufacturing tyre retreading equipment systems. He was a pioneer in the tyre retreading industry maintaining the company's technical retreading expertise. He was primarily responsible for developing the non- destructive testing industry
standards; his initial patent was issued in 1981.
He is survived by his brother, Dr. John A. (Marsie) Hawkinson, three sisters: Mary H. (Robert) Temple, Paula H. (William) Rooks, Karen L. (Kent) Bicknell and many beloved nieces and nephews and friends.
