Vipal provided perhaps the biggest news at Pneushow Recaufair with the announcement that it is entering the retreading equipment sector. The Latin American leader used its stand at the show to launch
a new dual automatic buffer, the VR01 Smart Duo, which is being introduced exclusively for the Vipal Authorised Network. The machine, which has been designed and built 100 per cent by Vipal, can be seen as reaction to the demand in the South American market for more sophisticated retreading equipment, and to the success of Lukatec in recent times in filling that gap in the market. The VR01 Smart Duo is equipped with two buffing positions, its unique and patented rotating turret system ensuring optimum productivity compared to similar equipment in domestic and international
markets, buffing up to 35 tyres per hour.
The DUO VR01 SMART allows loading, unloading and finishing whilst simultaneously buffing the other tyre. The integrated technology and
innovations to the machine also ensure low power consumption for retreaders. This, coupled with the unique software developed for the equipment, aims to gives standardisation to the buffing process as well as higher buffing quality and excellent finishing of the tyre shoulders.
