Neumaticos Corral Aim to Fill Production Capacity
As part of our investigation into the Argentine market, we visited a retreader based in Moreno called Neumaticos Corral. In a guided tour around the plant’s facilities, Juan Toledo, the manager of the workshop, told Retreading Business that their main target is to fulfil their current production capacity, whilst simultaneously finding more
salesmen to help them to expand the business. At this moment in time, Neumaticos Corral have 4 salesmen and 9 people working within the plant.
Neumaticos Corral’s retread plant in Moreno is one of three Pirelli Novateck plants that are being operated by the 16-outlet tyre distribution company. The other two
plants are situated in San Luis and Tucuman respectively. The factor y is fully equipped with equipment from the Brazilian equipment manufacturer Himapel. This includes semi-automatic buffers and two 14-tyre autoclaves. Additionally, Neumaticos Corral utilise Vipal’s cushion gum, Yeumen envelopes from Korea and tyre repair materials from nearby Tirso Gomez.
The Moreno plant was founded in 2012 and has a production capacity of 1,200 tyres per month. The
actual production level currently stands at 900 tyres and Toledo says there’s room for improvement to maximise this capacity. These tyres are distributed to clients throughout Buenos Aires. Most of the tyres produced by Corral carr y the Pirreli Novateck brand, but the plant still manufactures Goodyear retreads. Toledo advised us that the arrangement with Pirelli truck tyres is central to the company’s existence.
