make investments with the intention of expanding capacity in order to increase its competitiveness within the market. The company currently produces 1500 retreads per month, with approximately 80 per cent of this production being accounted for by the Ringtread product and the remainder with Unitread and Precauch flat tread brands. They employ nine people in the factory, with an additional three more contracted to work on the service side of the business.
Pneus Donatti is perfectly located at the side of the main Rosario- Buenos Aires highway. Undoubtedly, the retreader takes advantage of this location by attracting plenty of passing trade. As well as this, the location includes a fully equipped and integrated truck service centre to service client’s vehicles. The Marangoni retreader further operates in about a 300km radius and additionally sell new tyres.
Roberto Donatti is the owner of the plant and has over 20 years’ experience working with Marangoni. He explained that the company’s main objective is to try to increase production to 2000 retreads per month. In order to realise this objective, Pneus Donatti are going to be investing in a new Black Swan builder and arranging a new factory layout, due to its current compacted design. “We need to be able to make larger volumes in order to maintain prices in the face of stiffer price completion,” explained Donatti.
