Solvent Free Tyre Repair from Rema Tip Top
Germany. The new plant, which will have a capacity of 33-35 metric tonnes is currently being installed with new mixers and calenders with a third 11m press also on order. It is anticipated that the new plant will enable Rekor to triple its overall production capacity. Meanwhile, the company also announced the appointment of Elena Oborina as the company’s
new Business Development Director. Oborina, who speaks fluent Turkish and Russian, has considerable experience in selling raw materials.
Rema Tip Top’s solvent-free RCF-System is now available for use by retreaders using the ARC system. This was revealed by the
future-proof and innovative offerings, and the completely solvent-free RCF system is an
example of this. On its stand in Essen, Rema Tip Top was displaying its entire portfolio
of solvent-free repair patches, sealers and cleaning agents, as well as revealing the latest
development of the system to enable retreading in the ARC system. This has been enabled
by the introduction of a special buffing tool.
According to Rema Tip Top, using the RCF
system allows retreaders to make repairs quickly and
easily, saving up to 40 per cent in time
during the repair process.
" With regards to the workability, ease of use and time savings, the product fully meets our expectations," says Reiner Hofdmann, CEO of Reifencenter Hofdmann in Wittmund. The German retreader uses the RCF system in its production process.
  Growing Presence for Akar Makina
The Turkish equipment supplier Akar Makina was in high demand. In a market that is in a depressed state, as could be seen from some of the tread rubber stands, it ran contrary to the market trend that Akar Makina (and other equipment manufacturers) were very busy
throughout the show.
The Turkish manufacturer is developing a growing presence in the market and the equipment is finding its way into top retreaders across Europe and in many other markets too.
