Italmatic Partners with Gematic
Making its debut at the Reifen 2016 show was Bad Kreuznach, Germany based GL Messtechnik (GLM), who were exhibiting their CTS 300 Car Tire Scan tread wear analyser, the TriScan Rim and Tire surface scanning system for tyres and rims, and the CSA Cross Section Analyser, which measures the cross-section of tyres.
According to Sebastien Lintermann, Head of Sales, pictured here on the left, GLM have more than 21 years’
experience in the tyre industry, as the company had a previous existence as Dr Noll GmBH. The company was newly founded by Noll in early 2015 and has continued to develop its range of sophisticated tyre analysis equipment. The company’s systems support tyre and testing centres worldwide in areas such as wear studies, lifetime estimation, run-out and heel and toe analysis on finished tyres.
Long standing Italian retread equipment supplier Italmatic had taken a different path at this final Essen event. The company had always taken space in the retreading hall. However, this year Italmatic partnered with German agent Gematic and took space in the
equipment hall where it was presenting a product range aimed at the wider tyre market with tools for the tyre and service workshop. A departure from the norm and one that ensured Italmatic a busy four days at the show.
