Matteuzzi Intros ESB -15 Belt Detector
Matteuzzi also introduced a portable steel belt detector that can read the distance of rubber remaining above the steel belt. The new
detector can read in both mm and inches for a distance of 15 mm. This is an important device that the retread shops have been asking for so they can check the depth to the steel belt on re-grooved tyres.
For the retreading market the customers can check the thickness of the cushion extrusion to control the amount of rubber being applied. This device is also used at the buffing station for
controlling the undertread on the buffed casing. The ESB-15 is portable with a standard AA battery.
Matteuzzi introduced a new tread builder during the Essen exhibition. The company states that new builder provides perfect tread matching and tread tension control.
The machine works with pre-cut or 11-metre tread rolls. The laser measured circumference of the tyre allows the correct tread circumference to be applied to the casing and with new PLC
software there are no recipes needed as on other machines. The stitching unit provides for wing stitching and also for rolled cushion application.
The most impressive item is that this machine is claimed to be able to do all this with the smallest footprint on any tread match/ tension builder on the market today.
