The bus then leaned to the right and hit the guard rail, with the speed dropping to 45kph. The bus, by the time it had reached the bridge and a break in the guard rail had slowed to a minimum, but slipped over the edge, flipped and landed on its roof some eight metres below.” He added: "If the blowout had occurred a few metres sooner or later, maybe nothing would have happened."
