but it was done with an estimated 15 per cent in cost savings. One very obvious difference is that the KM89 wore totally smooth. No heel-and-toe wear was discovered, unlike the other retreads Bud has tried.
Bud has also discovered that the
mileage from using standard new tyres are 25 per cent less than that of Supercool Beluga. Hence, the company has opted for a strategy of combining premium new tyres with quality retreads to attain long term cost effectiveness.
Tony Mooney, Plant Manager of Goodway Supercool (Australia) has always been a true believer that quality products and services, amongst other aspects, are core to the success of any organisation.
Always hands-on, Mooney is detailed and will personally inspect all processes before goods are produced and delivered to customers. His dedication and passion for the business has propelled Goodway Supercool (Australia) to great heights. Established in 2009, Goodway Supercool (Australia) was set up to meet the increased demand for quality retread tyres in the region. Due to its high quality products and avant-garde retread techniques, the company was well positioned to cater to the matured Australian market seeking high performance rubber. Under Mooney’s focused leadership, Goodway Supercool(Australia) has more than yielded the desired results, in just two years after its inception.
Not only is the company making a renowned name for itself in the retreading tyres business, it is also poised for its first expansion – upgrade of the current two chambers to newer ones which provide faster heat build-up time and increase the curing cycle. In addition, a third chamber has also been installed to meet current demands.
The expansion reflects the company’s stability and ability to gain customer trust and loyalty due to its quality retread products and services. With Mooney at its helm, Goodway Supercool (Australia) is definitely geared towards many more expansions and upwards growth.
“Quality is something we do not negotiate on. Our superior range of SupercoolTM pre-cured tread liners is very well received. A revolutionary tread product, the SupercoolTM offers better heat dispersion, staying 40 per cent cooler on the road, better mileage and improved safety”, commented Mooney.
GIIB Supercool’s Proven Performance
      Beluga: Working Well in NSW
Every day, 20,000 people rely on GIIB Supercool to make it to the top of a 3,600-foot mountain to view one of Myanmar’s wonders: the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda. The people of Myanmar believe that this pagoda brings wealth to those who visit it three times in their lives.
There is only one mode of transport on that mountain. The daily throng of local and foreign visitors travel uphill and back down again in trucks provided by the appointed transport companies, all of which are members of a transport association. The road up the steep mountain is a challenging one. Its ‘mixed-road’ condition places a high demand on tyres to perform reliably. Because of that, the transport companies are very careful about tyre selection and truck maintenance.
GIIB’s SBP member in Myanmar is the only company engaged in the retread and radial tyre repair business in the country. It is also the pioneer in Myanmar premium precured retreading.
It took 3 years for the Myanmar transport association to convince them to use retreads for their trucks. The association members believed that retreads were not safe and could not perform as
well as new tyres. At the same time, they knew nothing about GIIB’s SBP member.
However, GIIB’s SBP member did not give up and persisted until a member of the association tried GIIB Supercool and was convinced by its performance and safety. Other members soon visited the plant. They were told that the secret to manufacturing a safe retread laid in the strict adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures for GIIB Supercool Retreading Process.
Today, all of the association members use GIIB Supercool on their trucks, having safely ferried visitors up and down that mountain for two years in Myanmar.
In Malaysia, GIIB has two Supercool Business Partner, i.e. Bigwheel Green Tyres Sdn Bhd and Coltrac Sdn Bhd. GIIB’s SBP is able to satisfy fleet operators that demand for safety and retreads that can maximise their tyre cost. GIIB is confident that once they have tried they will be convinced with Supercool, just like the transport association member in Myanmar.
Bud Transport Pty Ltd supplies vehicles to the coal industry in New South Wales, Australia. These are heavy duty vehicles, which work round the clock,
tremendously when Supercool Beluga came along. No tyres could satisfy Bud and assist his business like the Supercool Beluga. He uses the KM89 on the
travel an average of 200,000 km per year, and see almost no downtime.
The owner of Bud Transport constantly had to balance the high fuel and tyres costs due to the high and heavy usage of his vehicles. But this changed
drive of all trucks as it is perfect for good or sealed roads. For delivering coal waste to areas where traction is essential, he opts for the KM90. And for trailers, Bud goes for the KH28. The result? Not only did the same travel distance was achieved
