The firm says it has a couple of turnkey projects in hand, in addition to acquiring the expertise in building in-house monorail systems in plants capable of retreading 2,300 tyres per month. “We are now capable of handling such projects and can build completely automatic retreading plants in six to nine months,” Sarcar claimed.
Interestingly, Glisen has recently designed a new machine, which is a combination buffer- cum-builder for retreading three wheel auto tyres. “The model will be ready in the next three months,” Sarcar assured. The company plans to export the machine.
Glisen is also working on a high-end, fully automatic buffing machine capable of buffing tyres in sizes ranging from 16” to 24”. The machine should hit the market a month after the buffer-builder for three wheelers. Meanwhile, Glisen is planning to participate in a number of prominent international shows to increase its footprint in the African and European market. “We are participating at overseas shows like Tyrexpo Africa and the Essen Show next year,” said Sarcar.
