Vipal Truck Racing
Vipal, one of the biggest producers of retread and repair material around the world is for the second year a sponsor of Buggyra, the Truck Race multi champion team from the Czech Republic.
On the 12th and 13th of May the European championship took place in Turkey, the first time this country held such an event, in which the Buggyra/Vipal team participated successfully together with Vipal´s Turkish distributor Tatko Otomotiv. During the event both companies hosted more than 35 retread companies from the Turkish Market
and also one from Kuwait.
The guests joined the event and watched the racing for two days as VIP guests of Tatko Otomotiv and Vipal Europe, they also shared experiences with the drivers and had the opportunity to be part of the competition.
On the Saturday evening all Vipal, Tatko Otomotiv staff and all the guests had a Gala dinner together. It was a good opportunity for guests to share some ideas and meet other retreaders. On Sunday 1st July, David Vrsecky from Buggyra confirmed the excellent position in which he had arrived at Donington. He ranked silver in the last race and collected 37 points for the weekend, the record of the season so far. Better results were only achieved by Albacete and Östreich.
Vaculug and Grumac, Vipal’s long standing and key business partners in the UK, along with a big group of its VIP customers and partners were with us for the event and helped to encourage the Buggyra and Vipal Europe team in Donington.
Buggyra gave an overview of the technicalities of the racing truck, whilst driver David Vrsecky outlined his history of racing to the gathered enthusiasts. Everyone also had a chance to try the race truck simulator, and challenge David Vrsecky, who confirmed his ability on the simulator as well as on the track.
