Vipal Launches Cultural Competition
Vipal has launched a competition that will bring out the life stories of truck drivers who travel across Brazil.
The life of the truck driver and his family are very important to Vipal. Therefore, the company wants to hear and share about the experiences and curiosities uncovered by the experienced professionals that keep the economy of the country moving from north to south. Therefore, the company has launched a cultural contest themed around “stories renew, tyres too” which will award the best narratives with free retreads. In addition, the winning story will win a great trip for the whole family to Beto Carrero World (biggest playground in Brazil) and four Fate tyres.
The main idea of the contest is to stimulate truck drivers to talk about striking events and emotions experienced on the roads to share the values of these professionals who travel miles and miles working around the country. Vipal is present in daily life and these professionals know the importance of retreads for safety and the trucker's
pocket.
From August 1 to November 30, 2012, truck drivers (and/or their family members) can send their stories to www.borrachasvipal.com.br /historias with the possibility of including videos and pictures to illustrate them. Thereafter, all are able to be voted on. All stories will receive a gift from Vipal. The top three each month (one chosen by popular vote and two by Vipal) win two retreads each and the best of the 12 finalists will travel with the whole family to Beto Carrero World, plus a set of four Fate tyres!
Jones Boito from Nova Prata, Rio Grande do Sul state, was the first winner of the Competition. The August winner received 17,778 votes and Jones took home two free retreads to his truck. The other two prize winners of the month were Gilson Gomes da Rocha from Carmópolis, Minas Gerais States and Acacio Cardoso, from Mirassol, São Paulo State (chosen by the jur y of employees Vipal).
