Vipal Presents at Agrishow
The company also highlighted its exclusive tread VD Agro, used in tyres for front axles of tractors and agricultural implements; treads for truck tyres VSET, VSEL, which have advanced technology for use on freight routes in mixed use(asphalt / dirt), which gives them security and high performance.
Another highlight at the fair were the ECO precured treads for trucks and buses, considered synonymous with developed economy and ecology, by using a special compound. The ECO line, besides being sustainable, ensures lower rolling resistance, lower fuel consumption and greater mileage. The Eco line is identified with a green dashed line and a label with the name ECO.
Patches
The company also presented a line of patches for repairing tyres, the tyre reinforcement that offers security: Radial patches, durable and lightweight and Bias ply patches, available in both hot and cold versions. The model MA (Agriculture Patches) has been specially developed for the sector, allowing easy application with maximum flexibility and strengthening the tyre repair. "Vipal has the knowledge and technology to develop and produce various types of repairs, prolonging the life of the tyre with maximum security," emphasises Eduardo Sacco, marketing manager of Vipal.
Vipal’s key elements of quality and high technology have been deployed to create products that have become essential for farmers and ranchers to improve profitability in the field. It is with this focus that Vipal attended Brazil’s 2012 Agrishow. The event, a major one in the agricultural sector in Brazil, took place in the Southern Regional Agribusiness Technological Development Center East, in the city of Ribeirão Preto (SP).The company took a series of innovative products and solutions to the public event. For Vipal, a leader in Latin America and one of the most important manufacturers of products for retreading and repairing tyres and inner tubes, agribusiness is a sector of the economy of great importance. Growth in the agricultural sector in 2012, is expected to increase by 3.5 per cent over last year. This is an encouraging factor. In particular, the production of cane sugar should be 602 million tons in 2012/13 according to the latest CONAB figures, which represents an increase of 5.4 per cent compared to 2011/12 harvest. Vipal has a line of products specific to the agribusiness sector, designed to address the wide variety of applications and characteristics of agricultural production. These products range from the new line of ECO patches - pioneering and innovative products for repairing inner tubes produced with raw materials from renewable sources - special pads, exclusive treads and patches, among others. Another novelty is rubber matting for animal comfort, which is also being shown in Agrishow.
ECO Line of Tube patches
Innovative products in the market, ECO tube patches, released recently by Vipal are products for repairing inner
tubes produced with raw materials from renewable sources such as natural rubber, plasticisers and compounds of plant origin using silica from rice husk. In some items, the
percentage of green raw materials is 90 per cent.
Special Materials
Agricultural tyres require a special technology in the preparation of its components. Among the products for the industr y are rubberised steel canvas, suitable for the retreading of tyres and radial rubberised nylon canvas, designed for bias tyres and providing reinforcement to the area of the tread and which shows good adhesion and flexibility. There is also double reinforced canvas, consisting of a tyre inner liner rubber sheet reinforced with nylon fibers. This process allows for increased tyre life through this reinforcement, giving greater resistance to tears and punctures, therefore generating a contribution to reducing costs and preserving the environment.
Platform rubber for animal comfort
A special release from Vipal at the event is its rubber floor matting. With many possibilities of application, this was developed with lateral reinforcement, which guarantees more grip to the floor. Furthermore, it has grooves in its design, which facilitates cleaning. The bedding can be used for animal comfort and also in dressing rooms, kitchens, etc.
Retreading Line and exclusive treads
Vipal also took to the show its complete line of products and solutions for the agricultural sector. Among the items for retreading tyres to gain prominence was CVBR (Camelback Vipal Low Speed), recommended for tyres for agricultural applications requiring high strength.

Potosi Recauchutadora, a retreading facility founded in 1973 by Mr. Ignacio Daza is a company dedicated to serving the trucking industry with the mission of providing transport services with quality retreaded tyres, wheel repairing, accessories, equipment, machinery and tools. Located in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra it has been a member of the Vipal Authorised Network in Bolivia for over 15 years and a distributor of Vipal products for over 35 years in this market. Aiming to promote the company and partners, Potosi participated at the 29th International Fair of Cochabamba which was held from 26May up to 06 June.

exhibiting companies from 28 countries and some 350,000 visitors. That size of event in one of the world’s poorest countries may seem incomprehensible to many of our North American and European readers. However, this event is a general fair aimed at encouraging trade and developing the local economy. Exhibitors can be multinational corporations promoting their brands, or local craftsmen selling hand made goods. It is an eclectic event by all accounts, and the organisers, in their post event publicity, make an uncharacteristically (for exhibition organisers) honest evaluation of the event, highlighting areas for improvement for future events. It actually sounds like it might be an “interesting” place to visit!
