DPaschoal Completes 30 Years: Aims to Grow 15% in 2012
Altogether DPaschoal has 11 retreading facilities spread around six Brazilian states, providing tyre service, car and truck repairs.The company, one of the largest networks of automotive services in Brazil and the biggest tyre retreader in the country, celebrated 30 years of retreading in February. The Group expects to grow its retreading volume by over 15 per cent in 2012, this growth being directly linked to investments that are scheduled this year. In this way the company hopes to help preserve the environment and provide more savings to the customer.
The costing process is familiar to retreaders around the world. Each retreaded tyre uses only 25 per cent of the raw materials used in the manufacture of a new tyre. Tyre costs are among the three main costs of the
fleets. In many cases, a new tread on the casing can run more than the original new tyre. If the assessment is made by the fleets on a cost per kilometer basis, the savings can reach as much as 57 per cent. DPaschoal has 11 retreading
factories spread in the following cities: Campinas, Sao Jose do Rio Preto, Ribeirão Preto, Uberlândia, Canoas, Criciúma, Duque de Caxias, Curitiba, Cascavel, Bauru and Sao Paulo. "We are the largest tyre retreading company in the country and we want to grow
even more, because we know we have a lot of opportunities. We are working to improve our services, "says Eliel Bartels, retreading manager of DPaschoal.
Differential
DPaschoal is proud of its professional training and its care for the environment. Every employee who works directly with the retreading operation goes through various training schedules. In order not to lose focus and to remain focused on the job, in all positions, employees are served with a technology sheet specifying the layout of the work area to minimize movement between positions and work stations With special care for the environment, all the scrap and the rest of retreading waste materials are destined to be collected by a waste collection
operator, a partner company of the Dpaschoal Group for over 20 years, which collects all waste material from all of the chain stores and disposes of it in an environmentally friendly manner.
The factories have a high level of technology, which makes the process more effective and results in superior retreads: The Innerlope, a system that replaces the steel wheel in the process, creating better ergonomics for the operator and speeding up the process; the Duo Feed, which supplies the automatic autoclaves; the Thermocouple Curve, which makes the precise measurement of temperature and pressure of autoclaves, the SIPROG (System Information Recycling Process Operation and Management), which records the whole retreading process in a computerised system, so any operator has information on any individual tyre; the Ultrack,
the latest generation of equipment, which gives an x- ray of the tyre, detecting problems in the casing before starting the retread process. These are some of the differentials of a DPaschoal retread.
Project Green Economy
It is noteworthy that DPaschoal presents a new business model, based on its Green Economy Program. In all the chain stores, customers are greeted with the following proposal: Before changing any tyre or part, you need to assess whether it is really necessary. In many cases, customers leave the store without changing a single item, but with an evaluation of the products. Besides, anyone arriving at a DPaschoal store receives prevention tips that can give savings of up to 25 per cent in the life of tyres, shock absorbers, brakes, batteries, amongst other components. DPaschoal is a Brazilian company that has been operating since 1949 in providing specialized automotive services, with 3,800 employees in more than 500 shops in the states of Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Parana, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul and Goias. For the truck and bus segment, DPaschoal has 11 retreading factories and 17 truck centres. The company supplies tyres, services and accessories for passenger cars, trucks, buses, tractors, agricultural and industrial machinery.
