   Bandvulc Hosts Transport Association
Bandvulc was delighted to host a visit by the Transport Association on the 24th and 25th January. Some 32 delegates, representing mainly family owned hauliers, attended and for many it was their first opportunity to explore the world of truck tyre retreading.
The visit commenced with an
Bandvulc’s market position and development plans by Philip West (Commercial Director). The talk also highlighted useful pointers on ways to maximise tyre life, improve mileage and reduce fuel consumption. This was then followed up with a series of specially arranged workshops,
including:
• An in depth tour of Bandvulc’s retreading facility. Visitors were given a walkthrough of the full process, from casing inspection right through to end-of-line, learning about the various technological investments, both in machinery and software, as they went.
• Overview of Bandvulc Tyre Contracts and a visit to the operations area. This showcased various aspects of fleet management administration and demonstrated the control and reporting options available. They were also introduced to Bandvulc's
Tyre Support Unit call facility.
• Product introduction and
development – a number of Bandvulc’s innovative products were on display, including the highly successful fuel efficient tyre range – 295/80R22.5 and 385/65R22.5 Dynamic. New tyre offerings, available through its tyre wholesale distribution, namely Fulda and Boto, were also featured.
Marion Romaines, Transport Association comments: “Feedback from the event has been excellent and Bandvulc has definitely laid a strong foundation on which to build a good relationship with the Transport Association”.
Philip West (Bandvulc) adds; “It was a pleasure to host a visit from Transport Association members; the visit was preceded, on the evening of the 24th January, by a trip to the brand new River Cottage Plymouth Canteen and Deli at the Royal William Yard, Stonehouse. We are very proud of our products, services and reputation and valued the opportunity to meet them, both socially and corporately. We hope this will provide us with opportunities to demonstrate first- hand the statements we have made and afford members an in-depth,
practical validation of the products and services available from ourselves”.
  Bandag.eu Goes Multilingual
Bandag’s European website, until recently only available in English, is also now available in German, French, Spanish and Italian versions.
Highlights of this website are the attractive Product Selector, and the Bandag Dealer Locator, showing you all nearby dealers on a Google map of your region. Further on visitors can also learn more about the Bandag retreading process, the extensive product range, the benefits for the environment brought by retreading and the tyre management solutions offered by the Bandag dealers.
