Former German Minister of Finance to Open REIFEN 2012
The preparations for REIFEN 2012 are in full swing. On June 5 - 8, 2012, Messe Essen will become the number-one worldwide meeting place of the tyre sector. A key figure xin German politics will deliver a speech during the festive opening ceremony on the evening before the fair: Peer Steinbrück, former Federal Minister of Finance. Engaging high-ranking speakers has a tradition at REIFEN with its ideal sponsor, Bundesverband Reifenhandel und Vulkaniseur- Handwerk e.V. (BRV - "Federal Association of the Tyre Trade and the Vulcanisers"). Both partners will emphasise the significance of
REIFEN and, straight away on the opening evening, will incorporate a first highlight into the attractive supporting programme.
Moreover, leading companies are confirming the significance of REIFEN to their sector. Goran Zubanovic, Managing Director of GD Handelssysteme GmbH: "The interest beyond the German borders is simply greatest here. A lot of foreign visitors, especially tyre dealers from other countries, are interested in the nature of the German market and this allows us to hold canvassing discussions on new markets”
  ARTC 2011 in Chennai, India
with a favourable impression of Indian entertainment and Indian food.
Overall, I have nothing but praise for a top-notch event that was a attribute to the Indian tyre industry and especially to the organizers of
the conference. To anyone who has an interest in learning more about the Indian tyre industry, I strongly recommend that you put ATRC 2013 on your calendar now. This is an event you won’t want to miss.

I was a featured speaker at the ATRC (Asian Tyre & Rubber Conference) 2011 in Chennai, India in December 2011. It was my first trip to India and I had no idea what to expect. To state I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement.
After a grueling plane ride of many hours from California, I finally arrived at the Chennai airport after midnight to discover that my luggage did not arrive with me. Since I had been wearing old ragged clothes for the past 30 hours I knew I was in trouble. However, to the credit of the airport authorities at Chennai, I was treated very well and was provided
attended a conference better organized than ATRC 2011. From beginning to end it was the most professional, well-organized event imaginable, with a roster of first class speakers who covered a number of extremely interesting tyre related subjects.
The conference organizers had the foresight to include a thumb drive containing all of the presentations in the bag that all attendees received at the registration desk. An excellent idea which is proving useful to me and I’m certain to the rest of the attendees.
There were more than 100 attendees
Cherwell DC Adopts a ‘Cleaner Greener’ Tyre Policy
DC, like its neighbours Oxford City, has entered into a new tyre agreement with the Bandvulc Group and will be managed by Bandvulc Tyre Contracts.
This contract consists of more than 70 pieces of equipment including 18 refuse and recycling vehicles, which will operate on Bandvulc’s Wastemaster products. This tyre has been specifically developed for the
Manager, Stuart Cruickshank, said: “We required a ‘one-stop’ management package in terms of tyre management and simple reporting systems that can be integrated with our own systems. Bandvulc’s commitment to the environment also complements Cherwell's."
Perry Buckley, Account Manager for Bandvulc comments; “We are

with enough money to purchase clothing for the conference.
As it is, my luggage finally did arrive the hotel following evening (in the middle of the night) and I was able to appear at the conference suitably dressed. All of the above happened on Wednesday and Thursday, and since the actual conference began on Friday, it was an “all’s well that ends well” event.
Over the past 30 years I have attended numerous conferences in many countries but I have never
from a number of countries worldwide and the hall where the presentations were made was ultra modern and couldn’t have been more comfortable. The audio visuals were dazzling and the very best I have ever seen. Lunch was served both days and since I am a great fan of Indian food (the spicier the better) I came away well fed.
The organizers had arranged for entertainment the first night, along with a dinner for all attendees. Everyone had a fine time and all left
