Jan Bollmann Boosts ContiLifeCycle Team
Today, tyre-based economic mobility no longer ends with the purchase and use of a new tyre. ContiLifeCycle, the complete package covering new tyres, regrooving and retreading, is one way to achieve least-cost use of a commercial vehicle tyre. In
though the economic advantages of ContiLifeCycle and the associated tyre retreading are plain to see, not all fleet bosses and drivers are convinced. Preconceptions and doubts about the quality and performance of retreads prevail. Christian Sass, director for
worldwide retreading of Continental commercial vehicle tyres, says: “We need to improve the image of retreads considerably by clearing up issues.” In the first step, a corresponding process, in which retreading and its economic advantages are at the centre of communications, will be put in motion across Europe. Jan Bollmann, who joined the team on
September 1 of this year, will drive this process. Among other things, he will develop an advice concept for ContiLifeCycle that is adapted to
customer needs and will ensure it is implemented.
Jan Bollmann (36) has worked at Continental since 1999. After working in the planning, introduction, set-up and expansion of the “ContiLifeCycle” sales concept in Germany, he moved onto D-A-CH sales for hot and cold retreading. Most recently he was head of D-A-CH Customer
Management and Business Development and was, among other things, responsible for securing the company aims within the framework of ContiLifeCycle.
