management of their companies, as well as prepare them for two challenges that are inevitable in the future: succession and professionalization," reaffirms the chief financial officer for Marangoni, Abes Solomon.
"I understand that with the market becoming increasingly competitive, with more demanding customers, profitability becoming tighter, we must prepare ourselves to be increasingly effective. And with this exchange of experience Marangoni provides an opportunity to address and manage our business in a contemporary way, to become competitive and profitable." says Rubens Kasczuk from Pneuforte, a Marangoni authorised retreader.

Larocca Comments on Argentinian Retread Market
A brief meeting with Julio Cesar Larocca, president of the Argentinian retreaders association ARAN revealed that the domestic retread market is seeing some strong development as the transport field is growing and that is leading to expansion in the retread sector.
As always prices remain attractive, with retreads selling at between 35 and 50 per cent of the price of new tyres. So consumers are often electing to buy retreads before new tyres.
The total Argentinian market is about 80,000 retreads across both radial and bias ply markets. ARAN has spent the past five years working to ensure that all tyre retreaders meet national standards and is working with the Argentine body INTI, to certify all retreaders meet the same high standards to enhance the future development of the industry.
The Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau (TRIB) has launched two new video sites on the web, with a dedicated channel on YouTube and their own video section on TRIB's website at www.retread.org.
Each site contains three videos designed to educate the public, fleet managers, and truckers about the economic and environmental benefits of retreaded tyres as well as correct the misconception that retreaded tyres cause rubber on the road. The videos include: a tour that takes viewers inside a modern retread plant to better understand the process for retreading tyres, a video of testimonials from fleet managers in the state of California who have been using retreaded tyres with great success (including fire and school bus fleets), and a video that explains the true causes of rubber on the roads.
"We normally display these videos at tradeshow events or send them out as DVD's but these new web pages give us a great opportunity to educate a larger portion of the public about the benefits of retreaded tyres" said TRIB Managing Director David Stevens. "Not only do they let people hear directly from the manufacturers and users of retreaded tyres, but they also directly address the misconceptions people have about the causes of rubber on the road."
