Supercool Grand Tyres Retread Franchise Plant Takes off in Jakarta
Supercool Grand Tyres Retread Franchise Plant held its opening ceremony on the 28th June 2011 to mark the completion of the company’s new plant in Jakarta, Indonesia. Among the guests witnessing the event were President and Director of Gajah Tunggal Tyres, Christopher Chan, GT and Michelin tyre dealers as well as a number of fleet owners.
The plant, which is located in Marunda near the largest shipping port in Indonesia- Tanjung Prick, is a franchise plant of Goodway Rubber’s Supercool Business Solution retreading system. According to Goodway, the management team of the Supercool Grand Tyres Retread Plant is one of the most experienced GT Radial and Michelin tyre dealers offering over 30 years of experience in the business and operating a well-established
network that covers the whole of Jakarta.
To ensure high efficiency and quality consistency in retread production, the plant is fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment including a shearography machine, NDT inspection machine and a complete monorail process system throughout the plant. “The cooperation with Goodway has helped us realise our aim of becoming a total one stop solution provider for our customers”, said Taufik Tenady, the owner of Supercool Grand Tyres Retread. “We are now only able to provide customers not only with new tyres, but also prolong the life of tyres through our retreading service, both with the best value and performance.”

Jiangyin Anjitire Rubber Sales Co.,Ltd was established in July 2003 in Jiangyin city, in China's Jiangsu Province, a fast-growing port city based on manufacturing industries. The company produces precured treads for heavy- duty all-steel radial tyres and also offers bias tyres and low temperature curing tubes and flaps. Jiangyin Anjitire has invested a total amount of RMB 200 million in importing the most advanced production line for precured tread and has the capacity to produce 50 thousand tons of tread per year. It has also adopted the most state-
of–the-art tread compounding techniques, cold feed technology and the latest range of highly scientific testing equipment. Jiangyin says it has the capacity to produce precured treads in all kinds of tyre patterns.
This project is also regarded as an environmental protection industry beneficial for both the country and the people since it can satisfy the needs of environmental protection, through prolonging tyre life and reducing the entry of casings into the waste market.
Jiangyin Anjitire Rubber can produce 12 million pieces of inner tubes and 2 million pieces of flaps per year. The company exports its products throughout the world.
