PRESTI LAUNCHES PX2 SURESEAL METAL RING AND PRESTI ENVELOPE LUBE STATION US-based Presti Industries has been working on developing two new innovative products, the new PX2 SureSeal Metal Ring and the ELS Envelope Lube Station. According to Presti, both new products were developed due to customer feedback about the day-to-day challenges of retreading. “Our customers in the know are expressing their enthusiasm about the launch of these new products,” commented Barry Presti in an interview with Retreading Business. “Our focus is on providing in- novative solutions that deliver performance, quality, ease of use and value.” The new PX2 second-generation SureSeal Metal Ring is claimed to be easier to use and will outperform Presti’s original PXR Metal Ring. “We believe it will also significantly outperform the competition’s ring,” added Barry Presti. The PX2 has an improved working range, making installing the Sure- Seal Rubber Seal easier. It also has a new Auto-Stop feature to keep the PX2 in the proper working range, keeping it engaged throughout the entire retreading process. The PX2 has an integrated GO / NO- GO Gauge, giving the operator visual feedback that proper pressure is applied to form a SureSeal. The new PX2 is also engineered to elim- inate welds, making it more durable, easier to use and capable of de- livering better performance and value. The ELS Envelope Lube Station is a spray system that lubricates en- velopes during retreading. The ELS is a non-pressure vessel system, making it very safe to use. Barry Presti continued: “We developed a proprietary Presti lubricant to be used with the ELS System, which does not require any mixing; it is ready to use out of the barrel. The ELS system safely applies a smooth, even coat of lube to the envelope. The system is simple and easy to use, making it a breeze to apply. Our envelope lube extends envelope life and stops envelopes from sticking, saving the retreader time and money.” PRODUCT NEWS VACULUG DEVELOPS TREAD COMPOUND FOR ELECTRIC WASTE VEHICLES UK retreader Vaculug has unveiled its latest breakthrough in sustainable mo- bility solutions, a specialised tread com- pound integrated with the company’s Protekt System, designed exclusively for retreaded tyres used in electric waste vehicles. The compound is being devel- oped at Vaculugs R&D facilities in Gran- tham, UK, and with the Vipal R&D team in Brazil. As urban areas prioritise eco-friendly waste management solutions, electric waste vehicles are becoming increasing- ly prevalent. Recognising these vehicles’ unique demands, Vaculug has developed a tailor-made tread compound that com- bines durability, performance, and sus- tainability. Key Features of the new tread com- pound include enhanced durability, op- timised traction, and increased fuel ef- ficiency and sustainability. The design of the tread compound also ensures that tyres can be retreaded multiple times, offering a cost-effective solution for fleet managers.
