NOW RESPONSIBLE FOR ENTIRE AFRICA REGION
Following Vipal Europe’s recent inclusion of the entire African region within its umbrella, our Africacorrespondent, Valentine Benjamin talked with Vipal, to find out their plans for continue to develop the African market, and what their presence means for the continent.
With Africa becoming the fastest grow- ing continent, especially due to the vast amount of its natural wealth, Vipal Europe, the European branch of Vipal Rubber, one of the largest rubber manu- facturers in the world and a world bench- mark in tyre retreading, has taken over the responsibility for the development of the whole of the continent. It’s a signifi- cant change that promotes Vipal’s supply
of retread materials to both the retread and the repair sector across the entire Af- rican territory.
Vipal Europe’s presence across the con- tinent became active at the beginning of 2023. According to Frederico Schmidt, General Manager of Vipal Europe, Eu- rope was given the responsibility for the Middle East and North Africa regions in
2020 and has now been given the whole of the continent.
“We are present in over 90 countries where we distribute our products to our customers,” explained Schmidt. “All our manufacturing was done in Brazil. But in recent years, we have expanded our manufacturing to Argentina and the USA, giving support to our customers wherev-
