PRODUCTS NEW GENERATION OF SHEAROGRAPHY MACHINES FROM GO ENERGY Go Energy Srl, the Italmatic Group subsidiary, has announ- ced the introduction of a new generation of shearography machines for the non-destructive control of all tyres, both new and used, from 13” to 24”. The new high-capacity ma- chines are available in both single and double-door versions. The new shearography machine is equipped with a tilting system allowing the vertical loading of the tyre which is systems are provided, customisable according to customer requirements with silicone tapes to prevent tyres slipping during handling when taking them inside the machine. The machine can also be equipped with two different scan systems, according to requirements. If the customer needs only a scan of the tyre crown, a spe- cial high-performance camera is employed, with 48MP re- solution, giving a unique image at 360° of the whole crown at ambient pressure and a second vacuum image. If the customer also needs a scan of the tyre sidewalls, the machine is equipped with a very high precision 3D sensor able to execute a continuous scan rotating by 360° on the sidewall, also including lower and upper beads This, says Go Energy, is different from competitor machines, which exe- cute sectorial scans. The shearography machine’s software system can also inte- ract also with outside servers, keeping track of the number casing inspected. If the system is connected to an RFID, to a barcode or to a QR-code, it will be possible to identify the tyre inspected. P.70 VIPAL RUBBER ADDS INDIVIDUAL BAR CODES TO VOS ENVELOPE RANGE Vipal Rubber has announced the addition of individual bar codes to its range of VOS envelopes - Vipal Outer Short (short skirt) - and VOE - Vipal Outer Extended (long skirt) which will allow retreaders to accurately control of the number of cycles through which the envelope has already passed. When the new envelope is used for the first time, the retreader registers the number corresponding to the bar code in their ERP. In this way, the reading of the individual code is enabled in the system. When enveloping the tyre, before entering the curing chamber, the code is read, and the use of the envelope is recorded. With each new retreading process, the ERP scan will determine how many cycles the envelope has already been subjected to. To ensure control accuracy, the retreader can customise the system and block the process from running if the envelope barcode is not scanned. According to Rodemir Conte, Vipal Rubber Product and Process Engineering Manager, the development will generate several benefits for retreaders and their customers. The new feature facilitates and improves control over the number of times the envelope is used, thus allowing greater efficiency in knowing the real durability of them. “Adding this innovation to the excellent performance of our current envelope, it is possible to generate savings and better cost control for our retreaders,” concluded Conte.
