 LATEST KARTINDO RUBBER EXHIBIT AT AUTOMECHANIKA DUBAI Indonesian tread rubber manufacturer Kartindo Rubber have tak-              overseas exhibition. The company was present at the recent Auto- mechanika Dubai 2022 exhibition alongside other rubber and auto part exporters from Indonesia in the Indonesian Pavilion organised by the Indonesian Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC), Dubai. This, says the company, is a testament of appreciation and honour for Kartindo Rubber, being the only retread rubber compounder from Indonesia to export materials to the global market. The Indonesian Ambassador to UAE has also graced the event by visiting the company’s booth. The Middle East has been an important region for Kartindo Rubber since the start of the company’s export business back in 2019. There- fore, Kartindo considers the exhibition to be important to the process of cementing its long-term commitment to the export market and a platform to grow business with local partners in the Middle East re- gion. Apart from meeting existing partners, the company met new pros- pects from the Middle East region, South America, West Africa, East- ern Europe and Asia. The response was considered to be encouraging            retread focused. Kartindo says it will continue to exhibit in international trade fairs, the next being Tyrexpo Asia 2023 in March, where the company can be found on Level 1, Booth Q25. NEWS    APOLLO TYRES RECEIVES ISO 20400 CERTIFICATION FOR SUSTAINABLE PROCUREMENT  Apollo Tyres have announced that their raw material procure- ment process has been successfully validated by a third party recently for the ISO 20400:2017 Sustainable Procurement                   Commenting on the achievement, Sunam Sarkar, President and         one of the key enablers of our Vision 2026, this is an important milestone in that journey. I would like to commend the Corpo- rate Procurement and Sustainability Teams on achieving this               step, and we intend to carry forward the rigour in alignment with our Sustainability Goals.” ISO 20400:2017 provides guidance to organisations, inde-          within procurement, as described in ISO 26000. It is intended for stakeholders involved in, or impacted by, procurement decisions or processes. The Company’s procurement team has undertaken a rigorous process to realign its existing practices, including the strate- gies, policies and processes, to embed the sustainable procure- ment elements. The validation exercise that started in August 2022 is a culmination of a rigorous 3-stage assessment - initial,          visits and virtual engagements with the relevant stakeholders.
