LATEST RECACOR HOSTS MARANGONI SALES FORCE MEETING Marangoni RINGTREAD dealer Recacor (Recauchutados Cordoba) recently hosted a meeting in Spain for the European sales force of Marangoni’s Retreading Systems Division. The initiative was also used to celebrate 25 years of partnership between the two companies. Recacor, founded in 1926 by D. Laureano family, and produces more than 45,000 re- treaded truck tyres per year using exclu- sively RINGTREAD System materials and technologies. After the company visit, the Marangoni team gathered amidst the architectural beauty of the Andalusian city for a gala dinner attended by Manolo Moreno, owner of Recacor, and his son Manuel Moreno, the company’s Development Manager. On this occasion, represent- atives of the Spanish company received a plaque from Vittorio Marangoni cel- ebrating 25 years of collaboration, signed by the Marangoni Group Presi- dent himself. Sincerely thanking Marangoni for the gift, Mr Moreno said: “The complete adoption of Marangoni’s ring technol- ogy in our retreading plant has been instrumental in the development of the business and in achieving the leader- ship position that Recacor enjoys. We are proud to have hosted the Marango- ni team and look forward to the coming years of close cooperation.” Recacor ranks among the top retread- ers in Spain, both in terms of production and quality, as well as distribution. The company distributes its products na- tionwide through more than 80 sales outlets. NEWS PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN VIPAL AND CROWLEY REACHES 50,000 TYRE MILESTONE Vipal Rubber has announced that its partnership in Central America and the Caribbean with US owned logistics pro- vider Crowley has reached the milesto- ne of 50,000 retreaded tyres since 2015 when the companies signed their first contract. The companies have also renewed their tyre management and retread agree- ment until 2023. Renewal of the part- nership means Vipal will continue to ma- nage of Crowley’s fleet tyres, primarily in Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Ni- caragua, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic. According to Jean Barros, Commercial Manager for Mexico and Central Ameri- ca at Vipal Rubber, the partnership with Crowley is a source of pride for the com- pany. “It is a company that shares the same concepts of sustainability and con- cern for the preservation of the environ- ment that we have in our operations. We are grateful for the trust and renewal of the partnership,” he said. Julio Molina, Crowley’s Manager, Cor- porate Equipment & Maintenance, in Central America and the Dominican Re- public, added; “Our progress with Vipal has demonstrated that high quality and efficient management of fleets through retreaded tyres can benefit the services that customer rely on – and help reduce our environmental impact as a company.
