“Our truck centre is spreads over 10,000 sq ft, opened in the begin- ning of May, and is located alongside our retreading site right in the middle of a trucking hub,” said Raj Sarvaiya, who owns the new truck centre, which operates as Ashuraj Apollo CV Zone.
“The CV zone functions 24x7, provides new Apollo truck tyres also, and functions as a 360-degree solution to the trucking sector,” he add- ed. The outlet aims to service at least 25 vehicles on a daily basis.
“The market has drastically transformed in last decade as selling new tyres is no more a standalone business, it is now interconnected as customers now expect to avail the whole tyre care package that in-
cluding retreading,” he continued.
Previously, Ashuraj Agencies was selling multiple brands of new tyres since early 1980s but has now converted to selling Apollo brand of tyres exclusively from the new CV Zone.
When asked if the opening of CV Zone also improves volumes at the retread site, Sarvaiya said; “We are expecting 20-30% improvement in the retreading volumes.”
The new Apollo CV Zone was inaugurated by Satish Sharma, Apollo at Navi Mumbai.
