THE FUTURE OF RETREADING
The second edition of the Future of Retreading and Recycling Conference took place this year on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Autopromotec in Bologna, and this year the focus of the event, as far as the retreading part of the conference was concerned, manufacturing and marketing point of view.
The well-attended event, organised jointly by Autopromotec and Re- treading Business, was designed this year to focus on the importance of the retreading industry’s position within the Circular Economy, a subject which is gaining more and more traction n a global basis.
Following an introduction by Stefano Carloni, the President of the Italian Retreaders Association, AIRP, the keynote pre- sentation was made by Vittorio Marangoni, the CEO of the Marangoni Group who introduced the topic by providing an overview of the Importance of Sustainability to the Retreading Sector.
This was followed by two presentations designed to provide perspec- tives of the issue of sustainability from both the tyre manufacturer’s point of view as well as that of those tasked with communicating and marketing the image of the retreading industry.
