BOSNIAN RETREADER LOOKS AT EUROPEAN SALES
Retreading has been in retreat for many years now, but there are signs of renewal of interest from fleet operators and the retread sector is responding. The rationalisation of the market in recent years had left opportunities and one of the firms hoping to exploit the renewed interest in retreading, and the gap left by the reduc- tion in the number of retreaders in Europe is PGL Protect from Bosnia.
Sales manager Adnan Toki told Retreading Business that the com- pany felt that the small size of the Bosnian market was restricting the company’s development. So, they decided to attend The Tire
for the first time to sound out the market for their retreads.
PGL use Kraiburg retread materials and Toki was very positive about the support and the quality of materials supplied by the Austrian company.
Currently, PGL is not seeking agents and is aiming to use its own sales team to start exploring the market in surrounding countries.
The company offers a range of tread patterns and common sizes and is also a new tyre sales operation working with all of the top-level brands.
