Pyrum Innovations AG is active in the recycling market for end-of-life-tyres with its patented pyrolysis technology. The company is already working alongside BASF, Continental and Michelin with the former two entities even becoming shareholders in Pyrum. Pyrum’s pyrolysis plant which has been in full operation since May 2020 is completely energy self-sufficient, saves up to 98% of the CO2 emissions normally generated during the disposal of ELTS in a cement plant and produces new raw materials such as pyrolysis oil, gas and recovered carbon black. In this way, Pyrum closes the recyclable material loop and pursues a completely sustainable business model.
