Delhi headquartered Indag Rubber is stren- gthening its franchisee network in the Indian domestic market through various initiatives. The North India based tread manufacturer is also adding new products in sync with the evolving needs of the market. The objective is to aggressively market its product range through its franchisee network, thereby reac- ting promptly to the changing retread market dynamics in India.
“We have built a robust franchisee network, and all our retread sites now have a decent monthly output, which is growing by 10% annually,” explained Vijay Shrinivas, CEO, In- dag Rubber Limited. “Our sales and support division is in regular touch with franchisees to ensure optimum productivity and quali- ty through dedicated programmes that add their productivity.”
The company introduced ‘Indag Consultan- out training of the workforce at franchisee retread sites, auditing, periodic inspection,

Listed on the Mumbai stock exchange, the Khemka Group subsidiary has about 250 re- treaders spread all over the country as part of its dedicated franchisee platform, categorised as Diamond, Platinum, Gold and Silver depen- ding on their size, production capacity and tread off-take. The company also has 200+ dealer/distributors and 18 depots all over the country.
The increasing focus on building a formidable franchisee force owes to the changing dy- namics in the Indian tyre retreading sector. Indag Rubber regards the ongoing phase as
the best for the growth of formal or organised investment in strengthening road infrastruc- - celerated growth, and increasing radialisation are creating a positive buzz in the retreading sector.”
ENVELOPE PRODUCTION COMMENCED
Meanwhile, Indag Rubber is also expanding its product range by installing envelope presses at its production site based at Nalagarh, lo- cated in the Solan district of the North Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. “We have recently started producing envelopes in about dozen sizes to target primarily the export market, with some quantity also available for the do- mestic market.” Indag is planning to produce in between 600-700 envelopes per month, earmarking 80% of production for overseas markets and the remaining 20% for the home market. The envelopes are claimed to be best in class in terms of quality with any of the lea- ding international envelope brands.
