               Date for “Future of Retreading Conference Confirmed
Retreading Business and Promotec Srl have announced that the second “Future of Retreading Conference” will take place in Bologna, Italy on the afternoon of Thursday 26 May, 2022, on the second day of the Autopromotec 2022 exhibition. The announcement follows the
successful first edition of the specialist conference for the tyre retreading industry, held during the last Autopromotec show in 2019.
The main topic for the conference will be “Retreading in the Circular Economy” and will feature six key speakers who
will focus on the issue of how the retreading industry can leverage its position as a green industrial process and promote its role as a key contributor to the Circular Economy. Full details of speakers and topics will be released in due course. The conference, entry to which will be free of charge to visitors at Autopromotec, will also be streamed live around the world to retreaders and other interested parties.
The half-day event will be followed immediately by the Awards ceremony for the Recircle Awards, the industry awards event recognising sustainable innovation, production processes, management and services within the tyre retreading and recycling industries.

   THE TIRE COLOGNE 2022: Right on Track
More than eight months before the start of THE TIRE COLOGNE 2022, the leading international trade fair for the tire and wheel industr y is right on track. THE TIRE COLOGNE takes place from 24 to 26 May 2022, and with early-bird booking now closed and the holiday period in Europe at an end, more than 65 per cent of the exhibition space has already been booked up.
“Numerous prominent national and international players in the industry have already signed up,” said Ingo Riedeberger, Director responsible for the trade fair at Koelnmesse. “The number of bookings made so far highlights the fact that the industry can hardly wait for this opportunity to meet up again at an international trade fair.” In total, around 400 businesses and brands from over 35 countries are expected to attend THE TIRE COLOGNE 2022 in Cologne to showcase their products and services.
To date, around 220 companies have confirmed that they will be taking part in THE TIRE COLOGNE 2022, among them notable key accounts from every
trade fair segment. With the initial registration period now over, confirmed exhibitors from the tire and wheel segment include tyre manufacturers such as Bridgestone, Continental, Falken, Hankook, Nexen and Pirelli, plus tyre wholesalers Bohnenkamp and Interpneu, and specialist tyre retail network GDHS. Leading wheel manufacturer, Superior, will also be returning to Cologne.
In addition, there are numerous bookings from companies providing servicing and workshop supplies, tyre retreading and used tyre processing. In the workshop sector, suppliers such as Hamaton, Huf and Wegmann have already registered, while attendees in the tyre retreading and recycling sector include names such as Industrias del Neumático, Rekor Kaucuk and VMI. ZARE Group, the consortium of certified used tyre recycling and disposal companies, is also planning a collective presence.
THE TIRE COLOGNE 2022 is complemented by the digital TTC @home platform, offering exhibitors with a physical
presence the opportunity to increase their online reach profitably and engage digitally with new target groups.
The event and conference programme for THE TIRE COLOGNE, which features a top-class line-up of forums, themed areas and special events, provides additional information and inspiration. The Global Retreading Conference (GRC) – the international event for the tyre retreading industry – takes place on 24 May 2022, offering
