also produces a range of tyre repair patches, as well as adhesive used in the tyre repair of commercial vehicles. Currently, the unit manufactures precured and conventional tread liner in equal quantity.
“We have been exporting tread liner to countries like Fiji, Kenya and Nigeria but the worldwide lockdown in 2020 has disturbed overseas shipments. We are hoping to recommence exports soon.”
Singla Polymers is also manufacturing range of patches including chemical cure patches, cold patches, mushroom patches, radial tyre patches, bias tyre patches etc. The company exports 50% of its output to the international
market.
Interestingly, Singla Polymers has acquired expertise in making compound sheets from scrap rubber compound. “We restore a considerable level of properties to make low priced tread rubber, conveyor belt and bicycle tyres.” Singla is producing about 500 tons of compound sheets each month. “We are also engaged in contract mixing for some of the major Indian and international tyre brands based here,” he added.
Singla Polymers manufacturers tread liner, patches and solutions under the LMS brand, while the compound sheets are sold under the brand name of Ruby.
  Gurugram, Haryana (North Indian State) based Singla Polymers has announced that it will be entering into the manufacturing of tubeless tyre repair plug string cords and a small tyre manufacturing plant in Kashipur (Uttarakhand State) shortly.
“We have the required infrastructure in the North Indian State of Uttarakhand and are awaiting the normalisation
of market conditions. We were planning to start soon but the second wave of the pandemic forced us to postpone the plans to 2022,” said Mukul Singla, Director, Singla Polymers. The company has already ordered machinery for the upcoming foray.
