In order to meet the needs of the retread market and their clients, Galgo have expanded their MB [Metropolitan Bus] tread design product line to include two new sizes. The MB [Metropolitan
Bus] tread, which was designed specifically for urban applications, is now available in the following sizes; 87MB19 which was developed for 11R24.5 and 11R22.5 tires, and is available in a width of 225mm and a depth of 15mm, and 102MB19 which was developed for 305/75R24.5, 305/70R22.5 and 315/80R22.5 tyres, and is available in a width of 260mm and a depth of 19mm.
Galgo’s MB [Metropolitan Bus] tread design is ideal for urban and paved roads, and was manufactured primarily for passenger buses operating in urban environments. Its design features four ribs with a continuous strip, central ribs with sipes, union bridges, and wavy ribs in the form of a pyramid for improved grip and self-cleaning.
Marangoni have announced the launch of a new retreaded tyre for port application. The new tyre, the Marix M-Port, has been designed to be used on all the articulated positions of both the truck and trailer axles of vehicles used in port operations. Key design parameters for the tyre include versatility, efficiency, reliability and comfort, according to the manufacturer.
The new M-Port features a bi- directional tread with a very deep pattern and reinforced shoulders designed to withstand impacts and
lateral friction, as well as a width that guarantees high stability.
This all makes the tyre sturdier, giving operators greater manoeuvrability and driving comfort, significantly reducing downtime thanks to its
high reliability. The tyre’s tread depth, the high full/empty ratio and the innovative compound guarantee high performance in terms of durability during service.
The new M-Port, which expands the wide range of Marangoni Marix retreaded tyres intended for industrial handling, is available from May 2020 in the size 310/80R22.5.
