Berwin Wins Queens Award

Lydney, UK-based Berwin Industrial Products, part of the Hexpol Group, have announced that they have won a Queens Award, one of the most prestigious
Belgium, Italy and Poland. Overseas sales have grown by 102% over the last three years. The company wins the Queen’s Award for International Trade for
Outstanding Short-Term Growth in overseas sales over the last three years. The company is active in the development and production of high-quality rubber compounds and as such have been awarded centre of excellence within Hexpol covering Europe and Asia for all products covering tyres, retreading, matting and conveyor belting.

the hard work put in at all levels within the company to enable its continued growth internationally as well as within its home market”.
Tipler Celebrates 45th Anniversary

Tipler, the Brazilian tread rubber brand, based in São Leopoldo- RS, completed 45 years of activities on Thursday, April 23. The date was unfortunately not marked by celebrations, due to the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus outbreak. The company, however, took the opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to the transport sector, which has proved to be extremely important, especially at
this time, when supply needs to be maintained so that people can respect state and municipal decrees with regards to circulation.
It was not exactly the environment that Tipler wanted to celebrate such a special moment, but that did not stop the company from remembering the anniversar y on its social networks and through a video.
Corgom Invests in Technological Improvements
Italian retreader Corgom has launched a multi-year investment plan that provides for the technical and technological renewal of its entire retreading process. In doing so, the company, based in Corato (BA) has chosen TRM as its technology supply partner.
The company has already installed an Eagle Truck 2500 buffer, which the company says has already reached the project targets with an output of more than 20 tyres per hour. The first phase of the project, in addition to the buffer, saw the installation of an autoclave with 18 positions
and the technological upgrade of the existing autoclave.
According to TRM, all the machines supplied are in full compliance with the Industry 4.0 requirement and therefore enjoy the tax benefits provided by the Italian Government for this type of machine.
TRM says it is now plans to install the other machines necessary to complete the process and make Corgom even more competitive on the market to respond to the new development opportunities that the circular economy is generating for the retreading
VM Rubber is the latest company to enter the retreading market. Based in Rovereto, Italy, the company has been founded by Pablo Versini, who has over twenty years’ experience in the retreading
industry. Joining him as Sales and Marketing Manager is Camilla Raffaelli, also with many years of experience in the retreading industry.
VM Rubber will be offering a wide
range of accessories and tools for the tyre retreading sector as well as for tyre retail outlets. The company is also offering a range of retreaded solid tyres and says it is considering about selling retreaded off-road 4x4 tyres too. In addition, VM Rubber will be focusing on industrial business such as conveyor belt repair tools. A comprehensive catalogue will be available shortly.
